Tarun Vijay: On Ram Setu and Sethu Samudram

says about the bridge, 'Exploring space with a camera by NASA's [193] Gemini XI, this photograph from an altitude of 410 miles encompasses all of India, an area of 1,250 000 square miles,' George M Low, then the deputy director, Manned Spacecraft Center, NASA, notes. ' Bombay is on the west coast, directly left of the spacecraft's can-shaped antenna, New Delhi is just below the horizon near the upper left. Adam's Bridge between India and Ceylon, at the right, is clearly visible...' We can see the picture dramatically resembles the description given in Kalidasa's Raghuvamsham . Kalidasa wrote, (sarga 13): 'Rama, while returning from Sri Lanka in Pushpaka Vimaana told Sita: "Behold, Sita, My Setu of mountains dividing this frothy ocean is like the milky way dividing the sky into two parts".'
The Encyclopedia Britannica describes the bridge thus, 'Adam's Bridge also called Rama's Bridge, chain of shoals, between the islands of Mannar, near northwestern Sri Lanka, and Rameswaram, off the southeastern coast of India.'
Apart from such issues of heritage and belief, there are genuine concerns regarding security and the tsunamis' impact increasing in case the Ram Setu is destroyed. If the new channel is created through the present Rama's bridge, international ships would pass through it making a de facto international boundary between India and Sri Lanka, facilitating an increased alien presence, burdening our navy to a great extent.
So far the sea between India and Sri Lanka has been recognised as historic waters, though the United States has been pressurising to have it declared as international waters and said in a naval notification in 2005 that it does not accept the sea between India and Sri Lanka as 'historic'. The US declaration and the role of the Tuticorin Port Trust, the nodal agency to implement the Sethu Samudram Canal Project coupled with the haste with which the project was inaugurated, has given rise to many unanswered questions.
The US Navy operational directive refusing to accept the sea between India and Sri Lanka as 'historic' was made on June 23, 2005. The Prime Minister's Office sent some queries in March 2005 to N K Raghupathy, chief of the Tuticorin Port Trust. He sent answers to the PMO's queries on June 30, 2005 and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh with United Progressive Alliance Chairperson Sonia Gandhi inaugurated the project on July 2, 2005. Why were the queries sent to the TPT and not to an agency which had scientific authority to look into the geological and maritime aspects of the project? Why did the prime minister and the UPA chairperson rush to inaugurate the project without, prima facie, having the time to look into the answers given by the TPT chief? Why was the present route okayed which essentially requires the destruction of the Ram Setu, while other options, closer to Dhanushkodi, which did not touch the Ram Setu were ignored?
Local fishermen, Hindus, Muslims and Christians alike oppose the present route and are demanding alternative channels, which are available. They say the present channel would destroy marine life and corals. This will kill the trade in shankas (shells) that has a turnover in excess of Rs 150 crore (Rs 1.5 billion) per annum. Invaluable thorium deposits would be affected, which are too important for our nuclear fuel requirements.
Professor Tad Murthy, the world renowned tsunami expert, who advised the Government of India on the tsunami warning system and edited the Tsunami Journal for over 20 years, has also warned that the present Setu Samudram route may result in tsunami waves hitting Kerala more fiercely. In a reply to a query regarding the Sethusanmudram's impact, he wrote, 'During the Indian Ocean tsunami of December 26, 2004, the southern part of Kerala was generally spared from a major tsunami, mainly because the tsunami waves from Sumatra region travelling south of the Sri Lankan island, partially diffracted northward and affected the central part of the Kerala coast. Since the tsunami is a long gravity wave (similar to tides and storm surges) during the diffraction process, the rather wide turn it has to take spared the south Kerala coast. On the other hand, deepening the Sethu Canal might provide a more direct route for the tsunami and this could impact south Kerala.'
The issue concerns us all, and should be taken up as Indians, without getting entangled in party lines and political games. The Ram Setu or Adam's Bridge belongs to all humanity, being an important heritage site; hence the government should not allow it to become another issue affecting Hindu sensitivities. Nobody is opposing the Sethu Samudram Project, only a realignment of the route is being asked, as the present one destroys the Ram Setu.

History and Facts About Ram Setu

The ancient holy epic Valmiki Ramayan, there is elaborate description about construction of Setu. Its a great world heritage site India has. The Ram Setu connects the India’s Rameshwaram to Sri Lanka’s Talaimannar. Hindu believe that this ancient bridge was built by Lord Rama, as described in Ramayana.

Apart from Ramayana, the Mahabharata also refers to the continued protection of Nala Setu following Sri Rama’s command. Kalidasa’s Raghuvamsham also refers to the Setu. So does the Skanda Purana(III.1.2.1-114), the Vishnu Purana (IV 4.40-49), the Agni Purana(V-XI), the Brahma Purana (138.1-40).

The core agency, The Geological Survey of India has in its logo, Asetu Himachal, means ….The India from Setu to Himalaya.

The Encyclopedia Britanica defines the bridge thus, “Adam’s Bridge also called Rama’s Bridge, chain of shoals, between the islands of Mannar, near northwestern Sri Lanka and Rameswaram, off the southeastern coast of India”.

Recently NASA satellite images indicates clear picture of a broken bridge under the ocean. The heritage of this Ram Setu and the Story of Lord Rama, both are extremely sacred to Hindus.

The geographically Sethusamudram, is a project to create alternative shorter way for ships to cross the Gulf of Mannar. The project was initiated some 150 years back by a British Commander A D Taylor. In 1955, Govt. of India set up the Sethusamudram Project Committee to assess possibility of the project and about five alternative routes were discussed till 2001. The NDA sanctioned a fund to study the project so as to take final decision on the route but the government lost power.

The official web site of project states that Ships coming from West of India and going to Chennai, Ennore, Vishakapatnama, Haldia and Kolkta have to travel around the Sri Lankan coast resulting in increase of travel distance and time. Therefore, to reduce distances between the east and west coast of India and to improve the navitation within territorial waters of India, a alternate route or channel connecting the Gulf of Mannar and Palk Bay has been envisaged so that the ships moving between the east and west coasts of India need not go around Sri Lanka. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 2,427 crores.

On the decision to destroy Ramsetu and create an alternative route by Government of India, the Hindus have raised their voice. The Governemnt has changed the metro rail route to protect the Qutub Minar, stops a corridor to protect the Taj Mahal’s surroundings. Even a child knows that a bridge was built by Lord Rama, using floating stones to reach to Lanka to rescue Sita anddestroy the evil regime of Ravana.

The movement started to save Ramsetu at the shores of Rameshwaram on April,2007. Two former judges of Supreme Court, Justice K T Thomas and Justice V R Krishna Iyer, none of them close to the saffron side, have warned the government against destroying the Ram Setu.

Local fishermen, Hindus, Muslims and Christians alike oppose the present route and are demanding alternative channels, which are available. They say the present channel would destroy marine life and corals. This will kill the trade in shankas(Shells) that has a turnover in excess of Rs 150 crore(Rs. 1.5 billion) per annum. Invaluable thorium deposits would be affected, which are too important for our nuclear fuel requirement.

Thus, the issues concern us all, and should be taken up as Indian without getting falling in party lines and political agendas. The Ram Setu or Adam Bridge belongs to all humanity, being an important heritage site; hence the government should not all it to become another issue affecting Hindu sensitivities. Nobody is opposing the Sethu Samudram Project, only a realignment of the route is being asked, as the present one destroys the Rame Setu.

"Dalits" and "Brahmins" – The Myth and Reality

Dalits have been the creation of politicized mind transforming literary usage to political exploitation. The Christian media has exploited maximum followed by the Muslims. The Indian politicians followed the suit for political gambling and profits. While the exploitation of SC’s is not justified, the exploitation of them under "Dalit" banner is regretted.

Now, the "Brahmins" are also "Dalits" only. They are harassed, beaten, abused, raped and so on. But, they do not publicize or get their sufferings publicized fearing their superficial or imposed dignity. Of course, even now, for standards only, they are expected from Brahmins. Thus, they are getting beatings from all ends. It is easy for everybody to blame, abuse, censure, caricature, even blaspheme "Brahmins", "Brahminism", "Brahmanical religion" and so on from worthless politician to Oxford, Harvard, Cambridge University Professors, and so on. Thus, the Brahmins and SC’s are at the extremities of the social advancement or degradation or sufferings. While many is condemned for such a proposition, the Modern Manus slowly coming to the same condition.

Who cares for poor wretched Brahmins? Has anybody noticed how a poor Brahmin women, ladies or girls suffer because of their poverty? But, generally, they never beg, but do some household work – say cooking, helping in growing children (baby-sitters / child-sitters), Appalam (dried flour-cakes) making, at the worst case utensil-cleaning, dress-washing etc. They are doubly-or trebly discriminated or raised-to-fall-down –

1. They are not employed, because they are Brahmins.

2. Non-Brahmins either ignore them or tried to exploit (because of the contempt in their minds created genuinely or for other reasons).

3. The employers fear that they may not be able to extract work from them like others.

4. Of course, Brahmin employers too exploit them!

In any case, they have to suffer. Sociologists, anthropologists and psychologists found out the schizophrenic attitude and tendencies have been more among the Brahmin community, because they are faced with so much mental stress and strain. The particular type long time mental disorder involving a breakdown in relation between thought, emotion and behaviour leading to faulty perception, inappropriate actions and feelings.

Particularly, the poor Brahmin children are suffered from their childhood days themselves. That too, particularly, the females are the worst sufferers, as they have to face so many torturing words, sights and even physical sufferings. But Brahmin women, ladies and girls rarely complain or come out with facts only fearing "Social prestige". The members of the society immediately say or shout, "Oh, see the Parppathi / Brahmin lady, silently does all", "She looks like a dumb, but does everything" and so on. That is why in the worst cases, such schizoid (emotional aloofness and solitary habits) tendencies may lead to suicidal tendencies. The parents, brothers, sisters and other relatives not only mingle with such affected ones, but also ostracize from the social events and society practically. Just like a rich, elite, sophisticated SC officers do not introduce their mothers, wives, brothers, sisters etc., because they are not so "social" or "modern". But, here the imposed torture has been inexplicable.

Even at work places, Brahmins are disturbed, harassed, troubled, by their colleagues directly and indirectly. Whenever, Brahmins are criticized, they have to keep quite or even support or approve such remarks or comments made. But, such comments and remarks cannot be made when others – specifically, non-Brahmins are involved. Not only this, when professional-jealousy comes in to play, important papers and files disappear. There would be unnecessary delays in sending the typing the papers, sending the papers, etc., or they may have to do themselves to avoid "undesirable consequences"! There would be carrying tales, tell-tales etc., with bosses. Even small mistake would blown into big proportions targeting the honour. If really, he makes a mistake, he is finished!

At the time of family functions, attending such functions and as well as of others, festivals and social events, their suffering would be worst, but they do not or cannot tell. Many times, because they do not have good or respectable dress is not there, they avoid such functions. They keep their children inside the house diverting them to read or write or giving some "divine work" to do. Unfortunately or fortunately, the God-believing nature affect them heavily. They believe God so much in distress, that He – SHE would come and help or clear off all problems. But, nothing happens, so they go to worse than bad and the normal "abnormal" to "tension" to "schizophrenic" to "suicidal" tendencies and conditions have been the consequent mental status affecting physique. "Dalits" may be "the children of God" which the ideologists and politicians oppose, but, the wretched poor Brahmins may be children of poor only! In any case, both get the beatings on either side from other members.

Note: This only a short response. We have conducted specific studies with examples. This is only tip of an iceberg.

The idea is not to support or oppose anybody, as Brahmins have been the "subjects of Comparison.

Why Pope follows two ways in the name of God

Globalization of "division" / "denomination"and "caste"!

By VEDAPRAKASH

Introduction: The call of the head of the World Alliance of Reformed Churches on the North American Christian family made to "engage in some house cleaning" as divisions within the Church and lack of collaboration for God's mission continue to plague the Body of Christ" last month (September 2007) is interesting. It is not known why their houses are so dirty to be cleaned. If at all dirty, how that dirt has come and by whom, it has been deposited in their houses is not clear. To what extent, the "House cleaning" can go, as it "plagues the body of Christ"!

The speeches of Christians, Christian leaders, writers and others and also that of Pope from time to time appears to be very strange, intriguing and contradicting. The following is the news item which criticizes the "divisions' among the Christians of USA and Canada, both are very advanced nations on the earth with all comforts and wealth. God has showered and provided them with everything, but why the "division" should come?

Christian `House Cleaning' Needed Amid Divisions, Says Global Church Leader

http://www.christianpost.com/article/20070917/29333_Christian_'House_Cleaning'_Needed_Amid_Divisions,_Says_Global_Church_Leader.htm

The head of the World Alliance of Reformed Churches called on the North American Christian family to "engage in some house cleaning" as divisions within the Church and lack of collaboration for God's mission continue to plague the Body of Christ.

WARC general secretary Setri Nyomi said that when Reformed churches heal divisions in their own families and commit themselves to engage in mission in unity with other Christians, they are fulfilling an essential Reformed call.

"It is a shame that there are so many divisions within the Christian family - especially within the Reformed family," he added in a presentation Friday marking the 150th anniversary of the Christian Reformed Church (CRC) in North America. "This shameful tendency calls us as Reformed Christians to engage in some house cleaning within our own family."

The Dutch Reformed churches in the Netherlands, where the CRC traces its roots to, have a long history of mergers and schisms, and the CRC has not escaped these. The CRC split from the Reformed Church in America in an 1857 Secession, which was in part the result of a theological dispute that originated in the Netherlands. Some other denominations later merged with the CRC, most notably the True Protestant Dutch Reformed Church in 1890. Other churches later split from the CRC, including the Protestant Reformed Church in the mid 1920s, the Orthodox Christian Reformed Church in 1988, and the United Reformed Churches in North America in 1996.

"Anti-Dalitness": Believers have to respect their "beliefs" in the name of their "God". "In Christ there is neither Jew nor Greek, bond / slave nor free, male or female; for ye / you are all one in Jesus / Jesus Christ" (Galatians 3.28). This is very often quoted for the Christian equity, Jesus justice, ecclesiastic equality, Gender equality and so on. But why there has been social segregation and discrimination?

" John Sentamu, became the Britain's first Black Archbishop (June 2005), he brought out one book in which he says that the Church of England is "institutionally racist". Immediately, the "Daily Telegraph" (September 2005) dismissed this as nonsense quoting St Paul that in Christ there is neither Jew nor Greek. They said that St Paul might have added that are there black or white archbishops, merely good and bad ones.

" That is they try to interpret theologically, in the appointment of Archbishops, there is no discrimination based on colour!

" Of course, UK blacks pointed out that MacPherson inquiry into the murder of Stephen Lawrence introduced them to the uncomfortable concept of institutional racism in the Police.

" They point out that racism goes beyond individual attitudes and experience to their collective experience of fairness and justice and noted the discrimination in Katrina relief in USA. In the land of individual freedom and opportunity it was poor Black people Hurricane Katrina left stranded in New Orleans suffered heavily.

The CRC and DRC are definitely racist Churches. The DRC divides African Christians – Whites, Blacks and Coloured / Browns and allows three Churches accordingly. Whether DRC merges with CRC or otherwise, the white dominated Churches always treat the non-whites inferior. For them, it is black, brown, etc is irrelevant. This is further aggravated by their theological positions and rivalries. When a non-white comes to higher position, immediately, the whites oppose one way or the other. Maximum, they can have the postings of Bishop and Cardinal, but can they have a Black or Brown as Pope? Can they have woman as Pope? Therefore, the "anti-Dalitness" or the oppressive, suppressive, repressive, tyrannical, despotic and exploitative authority is accepted, justified and concretized theologically. [Note, the word "dalit" is a misnomer and it does not connote any exclusive group as writers and journalist try to imply].

Besides, theology, money, material benefits and other factors join the race. In the western world, the bishops, priests, theologians, and other religious functionaries have not been religious but material enjoying the life. More spirit flows into their mouth than the coming out Spirituality of God. Their affluent, opulent, status of both combined take them as the most privileged at higher-higher level.

So the sharing of material benefits affect their theology reflected in theology and refracted through race and other ethnic factors ultimately percolated as hardened divisions in the society. Jesus or Christ, Joseph or Jehovah, Mary or Mary Magdalene, the apostles, saints, who is responsible?

Racism, racialism and Christianity: Racism and Christianity in American and European political and social regulations, controls and immigration laws have been implicit acting at different levels. The White males openly vent out their feelings of Racism through Christian fundamentalism. The Christian politicians of the west have never hidden their hatred, as many times, they have been explicit in mannerism and body language. Remember, in August 2007 how Indians were beaten up brutally by the German racists? If one goes by colour, the beaten-up Indians appear white only. Why then the Germans attacked? So for them, it would be easy to thrust on their brethren, as "caste" has already been there in India, with due courtesy of the "Portuguese invention"!

But, why Christians still practice such shameful "divisions" much against the wishes of the Pope? The assertion that, "The divisions which exist among Christians are a scandal to the world," appears to be applicable globally, as he points specifically. How it could amount to disgrace, dishonour, humiliation, outrage or indignity, they have to explain.

Pope: Christian Divisions a 'Scandal'

ISTANBUL, Turkey (AP) - Pope Benedict XVI called divisions among Christians a "scandal to the world" at a joint ceremony Thursday with the spiritual leader of the Orthodox Christian church, which split from Catholicism nearly 1,000 years ago.

"The divisions which exist among Christians are a scandal to the world," the pope said after joining Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I to mark the feast day of St. Andrew, who preached across Asia Minor and who is believed to have ordained the first bishop of Constantinople, now Istanbul.

Sin, scandal or sanctified? For Christians, sin is a "moral defection", but every "moral defection" is subjected to interpretation theologically and they can only decide whether it is really defective morally or otherwise. So "sins" are sinning and sinned and no botheration. As it has been fail-safe, fool-proof and above all, infallible, none can ask about it also. Scandal, oh, it is theological again. It is not ordinary scandal for gossiping, gimmick for comments or fraud to be questioned. So if it is sanctified, no discussion in the name of God. This is very tricky in the theological context.

· Paul exhorts the church in Rome to be gentle and accommodating, not quarrelsome, `for the sake of the weaker members'. Don't judge each other but live and die for the Lord so that you will know that under the judgement of God we are all found wanting. To know your own weakness helps you to be tolerant of others.

· Then Peter came and said to him, "Lord, if another member of the church sins against me, how often should I forgive? As many as seven times?"

· Jesus said to him, "Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times. (Matthew 18.21-22).

· It is also quoted: "Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us". "Do as you would be done by".

· It amounts to enslaving a person again after his release, as someone is responsible for his release! And in anger his lord handed him over to be tortured until he would pay his entire debt.

· So their heavenly Father will also do to every one of them, if they do not forgive your brother or sister from your heart. (Matthew 18.35).

· So Indian Christians can escape theologically for oppressing and suppressing their brethren putting blame on Supreme Court, Indian Constitution, Hindu religion and so on!

Indian Christians and Theology: Of course, in India, our Christian friends too debate about the rights of "Dalit Christians"! It is evident that the "Dalit Christians" do not fit into Indian Christian social entity or Global Christian status. While they debate about divisions and denominations, here, they are perplexed about the –

· "division within division" or

· "denomination within denomination" or

· "division among the denomination" or

· "denomination within the division" and so on!

Ultimately, every theologian would laugh to know that what is going on in India is better than the ones happening in USA, Europe and African countries.

After all, their "God" is same only, whether he is prayed at USA, European countries or India, but why the divisions are shame? If there is no caste for Christianity or Christian God, then, it should be applicable to Indian Christians also, as Christianity and Christian God cannot be different for them. Suppose, if they have to accept caste and untouchability, then, their Christianity and God become redundant, because Christianity become unsuccessful and God too failed utterly in their case. They can no longer claim that "Jesus never fails", as already "Christ" has gone with the "caste"!

Pope, Caste and India: The "Dalit Christians" give memorandum to the Pope accusing the Casteist Hierarchical Church Authorities in India with copies to the Cardinal Secretary of State of Vatican, Italy, the Apostolic Nuncio to India, New Delhi and various Councils / Congregation / Commissions of Cardinals and Bishops in Vatican. So they in turn bring pressure on the government to cover up their "divisions", "denominations", "congregations" etc., working in segregation, racism, racialism and superiority complex. But, who perpetuate caste in India?

· Pope Gregory XV (1621-1623) formally sanctioned caste divisions in the Indian Church. This papal bull confirmed earlier decisions of the local Church hierarchy in 1599 and 1606.

· The Bull "Bulla Romanae Sodis Antistitis" dated January 31, 1623 accedes to the requests of the missionaries to accommodate themselves to certain caste practices and usages of the new converts.

· The Bull of Pope Gregory XV, "Bulla Romanae Sedis Antistitis", dated 31 January 1623, accedes to the requests of the missionaries to accommodate themselves to certain caste practices and usages of the new converts. The Pope was granting this permission only as a provisional and conditional measure.

· Why can't the present Pope annul the Bull to prove his egalitarian or utopian position?

If they believe in God, then all discrimination in the name of accepted God and religion should be accepted theologically. If Christian theology itself has such discrimination as exhibited in US and European societies, then, such social discriminations in India cannot be differentiated. When such discriminations, scandals and sins could exist in the advanced, civilized and 100% pure Human-right enforcing countries, why they bother about India?

Christianity, caste and untouchability: In spite of the tall claims made but the Christians, the caste, racism, untouchability and other factors have been there in Christianity. The hundreds of denominations in different countries based on theology, practices, tribes etc., are the direct proof. Pope Gregory XV published a bull sanctioning caste regulations in the Christian Churches of India.

Even the U. N. Commission of Inquiry (1953) into the racial situation in South Africa reported the Biblical background of inspiration for them to adopt "Apartheid" or "Christian caste system" with untouchability [Genesis. 9.25, Joshua. 9.21, 23 & 27].

Noah's curse on his grandson Canaan (Gen. 9:20-27) served as the prime proof text for their twisted arguments but sanctified ones. When Noah exited the ark, he planted a vineyard. He sampled too much of his wine, got drunk, and lay naked inside his tent. Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Ham had a son named Canaan. Ham saw his father's nakedness, but his brothers walked backward into the tent to avoid the sight. When Noah awoke, he put a curse on Ham's son, declaring that Canaan "shall be a slave to his brothers." The drawers of waters have to draw waters for ever and brewer of wood should brew wood forever! For, "Biblical Defenses of Segregation", see the following site: http://www.h-net.org/~south/archives/threads/biblical.html

Untouchability also finds its way to Bible [Joshua. 9.19]. In Ireland, there are separate streets for Roman Catholics and Protestants, as each group treats others "untouchables". Whites treat non-whites accordingly in US and European countries. As the converted Indian Christians follow their God and scriptures faithfully, they follow the same principles in India. So whether, it is denomination or division, it works faithfully without fail.

Slavery has been a divine approved system [Levi. 25: 44-46; Timothy. 6.11]. Prasadam offered to Jehovah should not be eaten by others [Exo.12:43]. They should not touch things holy to him or offer sacrifice [Levi. 22:25]. Bible should not be taught to others [Jewish Encyclopedia, Vol. 5, p.623; Exo.27:33]. They cannot offer incense [Numbers.16:40]. They should not approach the holy tabernacle i.e, the "Garba Griha" / Sanctum Sanctorum [Numbers 1.51]. In MNcs, do you find any white or foreigner cleaning bathrooms or latrines or engaged in "house-keeping" job??

"Dalit Theology" is the superior theology masqueraded in mere theoretical egalitarianism to fool "Dalits" projecting Jesus as the Super Star Saviour and Christianity to solve all their social problems, suppressing all cold facts, historical truths and the past tract record of Christianity. But, whether Jesus fails or the Pope fails or the Bishops fail, the Indian converted Christians shuld watch carefully and realize the facts.

"Liberation Theology" is nothing but "Christian Communism" with God offered in different garb mainly advocating violence. It advocates violence, terrorism and anti-national activities in a country where it is preached. After the death of Communism and exposure of their deadly acts in Latin American countries, they have turned their attention to "Dalit Theology". When the million of dollars coming is divided and given to their brethren, the problem is solved. Why then, Bishops loot banks and indulge in such activities?

Theological and political Christians: The dishonest Christians suppress everything and try to fool the gullible SCs and STs projecting that their religion saves them. they could not save their own souls of SCs / STs with dubious methods. There are A to Z Churches with denominations (castes) running into more than 3000 depending upon the nation, language, ethnicity, culture, civilization and other factors. The matrimonial columns appearing in the newspapers and periodicals expose their hypocrisy, as the bride / groom are hunted only on the basis of "caste" and not on the "Christ"!

Crores of Rupees flow into India from abroad to convert India to Christianity. World Christian Organizations never hide this plan. After the Neogi Commission Report, they have only changed their tactics in routing the money. Political pressure at national and international levels is applied through different cannels to pump money in. only 30-40% is actually spent under the guise of charity, service, and liberation etc., whereas, 60-70% is adjusted in their manipulated accounts duly certified. They have formed their own high castes and they do not want to share profits with the new converts. They treat them just as "natives" counting numbers and sending statistical figures to parent organizations. Thus, the discrimination persists and percolates to bottom reaching new complications and crating new social tensions. Therefore, to divert the issue, as decided by the World Council of Churches and other organizations, they set up different "research groups" to shift the blame to Hinduism and escape. After politicizing, they have tried to internationalize the issue. Whoever Indian writer, journalist or "scholar", who supports this theory, is received aboard usually USA or Germany and taken care of.

Globalization, Liberalization and Privatization in Christianity: Christianity works globally with all tactics, network and associations. Their operations missionary have been worldwide, the evangelical angles evade all territories and thus international, their goods and services been inter-continental, their funds transfer in large-scale, and thus, everything has to be studied at micro level. Therefore, globalization of godly and theological disputes, internationalization their divine differences, privatization of punishments but liberalization of sins have been unique and exceptiona. They cannot be controlled by any national or international acts and rules. Through WTO, they get all exemptions, double-taxation benefits, of course with many pay-backs. Therefore, there should be limitation at one level.

From scandalous division to fraudulent caste suppression: In the age of Globalization, global flows and religious encounters, the "scandalous division" has to be taken as "technology / theological transfer" taken place in India without any MOU or IPR. That it had entered in to India in the 16th – 17th centuries and perpetuated, protected, propagated and preserved has been marvelous one. Perhaps, none could have created such more than 400 years working system in India without after-sales service, upgradation of "technology / theological transfer" and support. The "harvest" / royalty percentage, they get has been enormous in fund flows to the respective country. Only the point is that certain Christian groups want to absorb, indigenize and make it Indigenous one. They tried with all methods – inculturation, inter-religious dialogue, dalit theology, liberation theology and so on. They are reaping the harvest. They sow what they get. So they have to do some R & D to find out the solutions for the following problems:

· Why Jesus Christ differentiates their believers?

· Why the Pope discriminate his sons and daughters?

· Why the Bishops separate the sheep with colours?

· Pope called division as "scandal", then is it not caste here a "fraud"?

· Why then Pope encourage such fraud in India?

· Why they should have two types of religion, Jesus and scriptural interpretation one there in the west and another in India?

All these clearly prove that the conversion is also a scandal in India, even if Pope does not accept in Indian context. It is a scandalous fraud in India carried on in the name of religion. If the minds are not turned towards Jesus or Christ or Mary or Joseph or Jehovah etc., then, it is shameful, disgraceful, immoral and outrageous for any Christian to convert any Indian in India. The onus lies on them for every subsequent social, political, legal and any other problem or crisis.

But, still it is going on. Can they be asked to get it patented all methods adapted and adopted? It is right time that the hundreds of thousands of missionaries working in India should get registered with the Indian government so that whether what the processes they carry out in their missionary-factories are not harmful to themselves and as well as to India. We can have some sort of theological Pollution Control Board, whenever, they want to dispose their waste, scrap, sludge etc., a they may contain hazardous contents. As they have been given and provided with various exemptions and concessions, it is quite reasonable that they should be answerable to Indians about their processing, and other activities.

P.S: Earlier, I requested many times about the prevalent of caste-like system in US, European countries, treatment of non-whites etc., but nothing id forthcoming. However, the media here and there mention about such events. Therefore, forgetting full picture, I request that the members of "HAINDAVA KERALAM" could provide or post such events, news-items etc.

Vijayadashami speech – Sarsanghchalak Sudarasanji

Today is the auspicious day of ‘Ayudha Pooja’ (Weapon worship) and tomorrow is Vijayadashami, the Foundation Day of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Tomorrow the R.S.S. will complete its 82nd year and will enter the 83rd. When we try to evaluate the result of more than eight decades of efforts, one thing comes out outstandingly. When in 1925 the Sangh was founded, the Hindu society had descended to such an abyss of self-negation that they were ashamed of calling themselves as Hindus. ‘Call us donkeys, but don’t call us Hindus’. Today however the Hindu has become conscious of his identity, he does not feel any inhibition in calling himself a Hindu. We have experienced this last year when the leaders of different caste-groups not only assembled together on the invitation of the Sangh but felt happy that it was because of Sangh that they had been able to meet different caste leaders, exchanged our thoughts and could partake food collectively without any destinetion of high or low. They expressed the desire that such programmes should be organised in future also. In the intellectuals meet also several intellectuals participated and pondered over the internal problems of the Hindu society, the external threats and how to mitigate them. Large Hindu congregations were organised at the district and block levels.

But the Sangh is not satisfied with only this much. Sangh wants that not only the Hindu society should be vigilant and full of self-respect but should be able to face all types of onslaughts perpetrated on it. We shall have to work harder to bring about that preparedness in the society. Today, though the Hindu society does feel that it is being targeted but expects somebody to take the lead. This situation should change. The people in every village and every ward should rise in protest, even if in small groups, against any injustice perpetrated on the Hindu society. The effect of such protest we have witnessed on 12th Sept. when people blocked the traffic between 8 A.M. to 11A.M. Just as the society is awakening, onslaughts are also increasing as if to test its mettle. Hence eternal vigilance has become unavoidable. We have to follow the message of Vedas –‘Rashtre jagryam wayam’ – ‘Let the nation be ever vigilant.’

The case of Ramasetu has been given an interim stay by the Supreme Court. We must not dupe ourselves to think that the threat to Ramasetu has vanished. The Central Shipping Minister Shri T.R.Balu is still saying that he will try to get the stay vacated and complete the task of Setu samudram canal by the end of December. Recently on 17th Oct. addressing a joint press meet in Chennai CPI-M state general secretary and CPI state secretary condemning the Centre for ‘yielding to the pressure of communal forces’, demanded to know why the Centre had sought three months time in the Supreme Court and agreed to consider an alternate alignment. “Why is the Union Govt. not firm in carrying out the project on the present alignment?” They said, other alignments were not acceptable since they would affect marine ecology and the livelihood of fishermen and the fishermen should be protected.

The reality, however, is that under the pressure of Leftists the Central Govt. submitted an affidavit in the Supreme Court in which they claimed that Ram did not exist at all. This deeply hurt the sentiments of crores of Hindus living in Bharat, as also all over the world. This was denying their very identity. Erstwhile socialist leader late Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia, whom even the pseudo-secularist can’t accuse of being narrow-minded or retrogressive, had in a famous speech said that Rama connected North to South, Krishna connected East to West and Shiva is existing everywhere showering his blessings.

Those who question the historicity of Shri Rama, should take a lesson from the discoveries of Dr. Ramavatar Sharma, who spent 24 years of his life in personally visiting 214 places where Rama had stayed during the 14 years he spent in forests as also 23 places where Rama had gone with Sage Vishwamitra upto Janakpur. He has photographed all those temples, lakes, rivers, ghats, huts etc. where Shri Rama treaded and also prepared a map of them all. The great effort put in by Dr. Ramavatar is a slap on the face of all those who are denying the very existence of Shri Rama. What type of democratic set-up we are living in where the Central Cabinet Minister Shri Balu and Chief Minister of Tamilnadu are brazenly flouting the public opinion as also the opinions of scientists, astronomers, archeologists, geologists, environmentalists who are giving evidences of Rama’s existence? What right has such a minister to be in the Central Cabinet?

But Prime Minister Manmohan Singh very well knows that if the D.M.K. withdraws its support then the government will fall. Till now the Communists were pressurising the Govt. not to proceed with the nuclear – deal, and, succumbing to that pressure the Prime Minister postponed it till 2009. Now if Shri T.R.Balu and Karunanidhi of the D.M.K. exert their pressure to give a green signal to the SSC Project, will the P.M., riding rough-shod over the sentiments of crores of people, permit the breaking of the Rama Setu? If he is a devout Sikh, will he ponder over the ‘Shabad’ of Guru Nanakdeo in the Holy Guru Granth Sahib( page 942). Raga Ramakali in chapter ‘Siddha Gashta’ which says –

“The Almighty has enabled all ‘Gurumukhs’ to reach their destination by walking on the ‘Name-bridge’. This name-bridge was instrumental in the loot of Lanka and all the demons of Lust, anger etc. became powerless and full of agony Gurumukh Ramcnandra killed Ravan in the form of ego and passing secrets by Vibhishan is nothing but his becoming knowledgeable by becoming to Gurmukh. The living beings in the form of boulders will also float across the worldly sea and many Gurmukh people have already attained salvation.”

There are two words in the Sikh Religion- Gurmukh and manmukha. Gurmukh means those who are beholden to God or Dharma and Manmukha means those who act according to their own whims and fancies.

It is a truth that the Sikhs worship the formless but Shri Guru Nanakdeo does not deny the forms also. He says –

‘You are with and without forms, You are with attributes and without attributes, You are One but You are many also’.

This Whole creation is nothing but the manifestation of that Supreme Being. Therefore Guru Nanakdeo explaining the Unmanifest with the help of the manifest has taken recourse to Rama’s story in the above ‘Shabad’. Guru Nanakdeo travelled throughout the country as also abroad. In his journey to the South he went to Rameshwaram also. On page 146 of ‘Twarikh Khalsa’, the authoritative account of his journeys by Giani Gian Singh, it is written –‘The temple of Rameshwaram is situated in an area of one ‘murabba’ (about 25 acres) where Shri Ramchandraji had consecrated the idol of Mahadeva’.

Guru Gobind Singhji himself in his composition ‘Sarabloh’ on page 905 says-“Lord Rama ordered Nala and Sugreeva to summon all his warriors and begin the construction of the bridge. Immediately hordes of ‘monkeys’ began to construct the bridge by bringing boulders from Meru Mountain, uprooting trees and throwing them into the sea.”

The question arises why in the case of all these facts Shri Karunanidhi and Shri Balu are adamant in constructing the canal by breaching the Rama Setu? Their argument is that today the distance between Tutukudi and Chennai by going round Shri Lanka is 750 nautical miles which requires 62.5 hours to traverse. If this canal is constructed the distance will only be 310 nautical miles which could be traversed in 25.8 hours thus saving 36.7 hours of journey. But marine experts say that the speed through the canal will be reduced to 6 nautical miles instead of 12-13 nm. in the open sea. Therefore the time saving will only be 29.75 hours. But embarking disembarking will take another two hours and hence the net time-saving will be only 27.75 hours. The claim that this will be cost-effective has been disproved by Captain H. Balakrishnan. His calculation says-

(1) Kolkata to Tutukudi

(a) Circumnavigating Shri Lanka – Rs. 19,49,925.00 (Nineteen lakhs forty nine thousand nine hundred and twenty five)

(b) Through the SS Canal – Rs. 19,51,126.00 (Nineteen lakhs fifty one thousand one hundred and twenty six)

(2) Chennai to Tutukudi

(a) Circumnavigating Shri Lanka – Rs. 13,25,405.00 ( Thirteen lakhs twenty five thousand four hundred and five)

(b) Through the SS Canal – Rs. 14,51,260.00 (Fourteen lakhs fifty one thousand two hundred and sixty)

Then why this adamant attitude? The reason is, America wants to establish her hegemony over the Bay of Bengal also. She has already her influence over the Indian Ocean because of her military base in Diago Garcia. The Palk Street and Gulf of Mannar exist in between Bharat and Shri Lanka. They form the historical waters between the two countries over which only they have their jurisdiction. On 23rd March they signed an agreement through which they decided over a line to act as the boundary line between the two countries. But on 23rd June 2005 the U.S.A. refused to accept these as the historical waters. On 2nd July 2007 American Warship Nimitz came to the Chennai sea port. When there was an opposition to its presence, the naval officer on the ship convened a press meet and declared before the media that the waters between Bharat and Shri Lanka are International waters. This exposes the intention of America and her interest in the SSCP.

China also has her design. China has established its strategic base in Coco islands adjacent to the Mynamar border and has established her jurisdiction over the Gwadar port of Pakistan. Similarly China is participating in the construction of a most modern sea-port in Hamantota situated on the south coast of Shri Lanka. Thus the strategies of both America and China have weakened the position of Bharat in its own historical waters. When the ships of U.S.A. and China begin to cruise between Bharat and Shri Lanka waters, the security of Bharat will be endangered. But look of the hypocrisy of the Indian Communists. They are opposing the nuclear-deal between Bharat and U.S.A. on the ground that it will lead to American hegemony, but are keeping silent in the matter of SSCP only because it is going to benefit China also.

These stooges of China who can be aptly described as nation-wreckers, are the least concerned about the great damage that the SSCP is going to inflict on our country.

Ø Telis, a scientist belonging to the famous Carneigi Institute of Research in Defence affairs has opined after a deep study that Bharat possesses the largest stock of Thorium in the world which can fulfill her energy requirements for a long time to come. Thorium is the rare earth which is luminous as also slatish in colour. When heated in air it emits bluish light. It is named after Thor, the war-god of Scandinavia. Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam, ex-President of Bharat has opined –‘The stock of uranium is very limited in Bharat and hence we are required to go into agreements with all sorts of people for its supply. Bharat has the largest stock of Thorium and hence we should concentrate more on getting our energy based on Thorium.’

Ø Bhartiya scientists are enged in inventing a reactor based on Thorium fuel. Experiments are being conducted in Bhabha Atomic Research Centre at Mumbai. Shri K.V.Jayarama, a research scientist in Hyderabad has said that of the 11 lakhs tons of high quality Thorium available in the world, 31% has been found to be deposited on the sea shores of Bharat only.

Ø The sea-waves in the Indian Ocean after bouncing from the Rama Setu, create counter currents which push the rare-earth metals towards the shores of Bharat and Thorium is deposited in the three adjacent villages in Kanyakumari. According to the Indian laws it can not be exported without the permission of Central Government. But flouting all those regulations some anti-social elements are engaged in exporting Thorium-rich sands to foreign countries. It is being done in two ways – One is by direct export of the sand. Another is by burying thick coconut ropes with a coating of glue on them. When they reach the destination, the sand is removed from the ropes. Those ropes are used for the ships. Who pockets the money is a matter for through impartial probe. Shri M.D.Nalpat, Professor of geo-politics in Manipal University avers that the irretrievable loss of Thorium entailed in breaching the Rama Setu will be a great blow to the nuclear projects of our country.

Ø According to the Prof. C.S.P.Aiyar, managing director for Centre for Marine Analytical Reference and Standards –“Saving the marine live-stock in the Gulf of Mannar is a matter of utmost importance. Nowhere in the world except Rama Setu can we find 3600 species of marine life at one place.” Tsunami expert Prof. Tad S. Murthy had said in Dec. 2005 –“It is because of Rama Setu that south Kerala coast was saved from the disaster striking Bharat on 26th Dec. 2004. Retired Justices of Supreme Court Justice Krishna Aiyar and Justice K.T.Thomas have publicly appealed to the Central Govt. to abandon the SSCP. Justice K.T.Thomas says-“Things with which strong religious sentiments and thousands of years old traditions are attached should not be disturbed. Therefore it is my strong conviction that Shri Rama Setu should not be breached and alternative routes should be considered. I have also heard that Rama Setu had protected Indian shores, specially in Kerala, during the Tsunami disaster.” And Justice Krishna Aiyar says –“I suspect that the haste with which the project is proposed to be completed, ignoring the welfare and the progress of the people of India, may be to further the interests of countries like America. About this I had sent an emergency message to our Hon. Prime Minister.”

Ø The NEERI report accepts that ‘200 out of 600 varieties of fishes are commercially important. There are 138 villages and towns spread in 5 districts through the costal area from Gulf of Mannar to Palk Strait in Tamilnadu. Fishing has been the sole occupation of 16 lakh fisher folks living along the coasts whose main activities are – (1) fishing (2) seaweed collection (3) chunks collection with which shell bangles and anklets are prepared (4) coral mining (5) firewood collection and (6) agriculture. The fishermen are irked that they are allowed on the sea between 5 am to 9 am only for three days a week. More than 50% of the fishermen in this area are in debt. If this project is implemented socio-economic problems will multiply due to unemployment.’ Now it is for you to decide as to who is telling the truth – Neeri scientists or leftists leaders of Tamilnadu?

But the Communists are least concerned with all these things. What is their record in West Bengal where they have been continuously ruling for the past 30 years? When they came to power in1977 they declared with great fanfare that they would be implementing insurance scheme for landless labourers. But the money collected from them was not deposited with the Provident Fund Commissioner. Crores of rupees collected on this account had been misappropriated by them. The number of landless labourers in West Bengal stood at 73 lakhs. Among them only 9 lakhs were included in the above mentioned scheme. 63 lakhs were just ignored. This govt. has created another 24 lakhs landless labourers in the past ten years by forcefully grabbing their lands. What can be more disgraceful for the Govt. that between 7th August to mid October, about 40 food riots have been taken place. And what is the reason? In some of the districts rationed articles have not been distributed for the last 18 months and in some for the last 11 months. Ration dealers in collusion with ministers, bureaucrats, district magistrates, block development officers, legislators, rationing officers and distributors have sold out food-grains and other materials in black market. Food-riots are practically a revolt against the Left Front government and the most interesting part is that they are being instigated by the members of the Left Front themselves.

The fiercest form of the bankrupt ideology of Communism is appearing in the form of Maoist and Naxalite violence. Over 6000 people have been killed in just over a decade in different parts of Bharat. But those who are at the helm of affairs think that their responsibility is over by issuing a statement every time there is an incidence of violence and call it the most barbaric and cowardly act. It is quite a rare occasion when any court has convicted and sentenced a terrorist. The case of Mohammad Afzal is a living example. Even after the Supreme Court gave him death penalty, the Central Cabinet recommended that the death sentence to be converted into life imprisonment and sent it to the Delhi Government for approval. The Delhi govt. has not replied yet. In Assam, the security forces were directed to abandon anti ULFA operations to create a congenial atmosphere for peace talks. This was taken advantage of by ULFA who regrouped themselves and became stronger. The success of the Maoists in Nepal has encouraged the Naxalites in Bharat that they can also be successful. A central leader of the CPM had gone to meet the terrorist leader Prachanda in Nepal.

There is an adage in Hindi which means those who deserve thrashing can not be brought to reason by mere talking. The weak-kneed policy of the Central Govt. has only emboldened the demonic forces. European countries like France, England etc. have enacted tough laws to deal with the terrorists but our Government, running with the external support of the Communists has repealed the POTA regulation, with the result that terrorism is raising its head again. Recently in Ludhiana there was an explosion killing 6 and injuring 30 in a theatre where large number of labourers from Bihar had gathered to witness a picture in their own Bhojpuri language. The hand of Khalistanis is being suspected. Before that on 1st September, a powerful bomb exploded in the vegetable market in Guwahati by the ULFA terrorists. The toll was 2 killed and 20 injured.

Not that only Hindus are being targeted. On 11th October a bomb exploded in Ajmer Sharief after Roja Iftar killing 2 and injuring 20. Before that also Samjhouta Express and the Mosques in Malegaon, Hyderabad and Aurangabad were targeted and , those who were killed and injured were Muslims only. And recently on 17th October the traders who received parcels as presents were also Muslims. Outwardly they appeared to be CD-players but inside them were 36 detonators that had the capacity to cause immense damage within a radius of 200 meters. This only proves the terrorists whether Hindus, Muslims or Christian or those who claim to be followers of Sikh Gurus, are bereft of any religious values. Scores of examples can be quoted but the question is whether the Government is at all serious in takling the terrorists. If so, then they should enact tough laws without loss of time.

There is one mere problem and that is appeasement of the so called minorities. At the out set we should realise that to call Muslims, Christians, Buddhists and Sikhs of our country as minorities is nothing but an extension of the British policy of ‘divide and rule’. Minorities are those who were uprooted in their own countries and took refuge in this country, and, because they did not have any roots in this country, they might need certain rights to protect their identity. That way, only the Jews and the Parsees may be called minorities who came to Bharat two thousand and one thousand years ago from Israel and Iran respectively. But when during the drafting of our constitution a proposal was placed before them that because their number was so small that on their own they could not get elected to either the Central or the State legislatures, therefore, some seats could be reserved for them to be filled by nomination. The leaders of both the communities flatly refused and said they did not need any reservations and that they were quite happy with the national society. In no other country did we get such a considerate treatment as we got here. And we see that they did not suffer any disability what so ever. Our two Generals, Gen. Jacob and Gen. Manikshaw, one a Jew and the other a Parsee, brought victory to our country during wars. Who can forget the role played by Dadabhai Navaroji and Madame Cama during our freedom struggle or the contribution of Jamasedji Nasarvan Tata in the industrial field?

This being the situation, how can the statement of our Prime minister be justified that the minorities have the first claim on the resources of our country? In giving compensation also to the families of those killed, the Govt. perpetrates discrimination. For the Pakistanis killed in Samjhouta express explosions, the compensation given was 10 lakhs per person, for the Muslims killed in Malegaon, Hyderabad etc. it was 5 lakhs per person whereas for those Hindus who were killed in Mumbai explosions the compensation was two lakhs, meaning thereby that the lives of Hindus are cheaper than those of the so called minorities. The Leftist Government in West Bengal, with their eyes on the fourth coming panchayat elections, has declared that 30% of the budgetary allocation will be earmarked for the minorities, they will be trained at government expenses for recruitment in the Police force in large numbers, new minority schools will be established and a lenient view will be taken about the madarsas. Is this not a crass appeasement of the minorities and discrimination of the worst order? The so called minorities in West Bengal form 28% of the population and of them 25.25% are Muslims. Of the 50 Muslim majority districts in the country, 12 belong to the West Bengal alone. Over and above that there are the recommendations of the Sacchar Committee which recommends reservation of seats in institutions of higher education. Is this not a shameful example of minority appeasement? On the other hand, those who are converted to either Christianity or Islam from Scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and other backward communities have started demanding reservations for them in the government services. Is it not an encroachment on the privileges of the SCs, STs and OBCs of the Hindu society?

It should be remembered that the demand that the provisions of reservations for the SCs, STs and OBCs as enshrined in the Constitution, should be extended to the Christian and Muslim converts also, has been rejected by the Supreme Court in a number of public interest litigations. It has held that the reservation policy has been adopted to remove the social disability inflicted because of the caste-system prevailing in the Hindu society. Any Hindu converted to either Islam or Christianity is thrown out of the caste system. To covert a man to their faith the Christian fathers take recourse to the plea that there is no caste discrimination in the Christian society. Will the church leaders, before demanding reservation for Dalit Christians, declare that they do have caste discrimination in their society? From the regulation of the Government of India 1935 to Scheduled caste Scheduled Tribe regulation, 1950 and the orders promulgated from time to time afterwards also are very clear about this point. This matter was thoroughly discussed by our Constitution makers and they had rejected the extension of privileges to converts. In 1936 also the British Government has rejected the demand for reservation for converted Christians.

If this demand for reservation for converts is accepted then most of the reservations will be cornered by them with the help of enormous foreign funds being pumped into our country from abroad. The greatest obstacle experienced by the Christian missionaries and Muslim moulavis in their task of proselytisation will be removed and the pace of conversion will enormously increase, creating problems for the unity and integrity of our Nation. The leaders and public representatives of SCs and STs should realise this danger and see through their hidden game plan and come forward to thwart their mischief. In addition to that those of them who have come above the poverty line should come forward to renounce those privileges for themselves and their dependents so that their brethren who are still below the poverty line may get the benefit of reservations, Reservation after all is akin to crutches which are taken recourse to when due to some accident we begin to limp. Once the disability is removed the crutches are discarded.

On the Economic front the sensex reached the 19000 mark recently. This was taken to be a measure of our economic progress and they patted their backs. But all this is being maneuvered with help of foreign funds. The money of terrorists and of those engaged in narcotics trade is also playing its role. This money was pumped into our economy in the name of ‘Participatory Fund’. The Reserve Bank of India got concerned about it and imposed a restriction on further flow of foreign investment into the above fund and has ordered that in the next 18 months the remaining foreign investment should be completely exhausted. The result is, the sensex has started falling.

Actually the initial mistake was committed when the first Prime Minister of our country Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, disregarding the advice of Mahatma Gandhi to make villages the centre-point of our economic planning, made the country tread the western path of development. The western developmental path is centralised, high energy consumptive, capital intensive, labour displacing and eco-distructive. The path suggested by Mahatma Gandhi was de-centralised, low energy consumptive, using small capital, labour-intensive and eco-friendly. Today in the West itself, renowned scholars looking into the future, have started challenging the present developmental path. They have warned that if tinkering with environment is not stopped, the very existence of mankind will be jeopardised. A competition is on to dominate the world markets and towards that end stockpiles of weapons of mass-destruction have been created. The whole world appears to be on the brink of world-war. One spark is sufficient to trigger off the third world war which may take a tall of 200 crore people with immense damage to environment. Bharat will also be affected because of Pakistan and China. But the task of giving the message of peace to the world in future will have to be done by Bharat only because it alone possesses the spiritual philosophy which says that the same Atman, the Ultimate Reality is pervading the Whole Universe, whether men and animals, trees and plants, worms and flying creatures. It is because of this that Bharat can declare –

Sarve bhavantu sukhinaha

Sarve santu niramayaha

Sarve bhadrani pashantu

Ma kashchit dukkhabhaga bhavet.

“Let everybody be hale and hearty, let everybody enjoy all good things in life and let nobody experience any pain.”

For that, however, the Hindu society will have to become consolidated and strong by rising above all sorts of differences. Fortunately we are getting some good indications also. We all know that the Britishers followed the ‘divide and rule’ policy to fulfill their imperialistic objectives and with that end in view they divided the society into Aryans and Dravidians, aboriginals and immigrants, Brahmins and non-Brahmins, touchables and un-touchables etc. It is unfortunate that even after 60 years of our Independence the same wrong history is being taught to us. Swami Vivekananda said before an audience in the Madras city as the 19th century was drawing to a close-“Do not believe such silly things as there was a race of mankind in South India called the Dravidians who were black, differing widely from one race in North India called Aryans who were bright. Not knowing where the Aryans can from of late there was an attempt to prove,” he laughed and said, “Aryans lived on the Swiss lakes.” This theory which was trotted out in the name of Max Muller, has obsessed the Indian mind since then, so much so, that we are unwittingly call our brothers living in forests as ‘adivasis’ i.e. aboriginals, there by lending credence to the theory that we came from outside.

Weeks back the BBC website came out with the startling disclosure that –“there is now ample evidence to show that Max Mullar and those who followed him were wrong. Modern historians of the area no longer believe that such invasions had such great influence on Indian history. It is generally accepted that Indian history shows a continuity of progress from the earliest times to today.”

Recently on 13th Sep. 2007 the United Nations ‘Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples’ was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly. A group was working on it since 1982 and the final draft was first adopted in U.N. Security Council and then adopted by the General Assembly. 143 countries voted in favour and four against with 11 abstaining. Those who voted against were Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States. In the Security Council in an explanation of vote before the vote, the Indian representative Ajeya Malhotra said ‘India has been consistently favouring the rights of indigenous peoples. With regards to the right of self determinations this is understood to apply only to peoples under foreign domination and not to a nation of indigenous persons.’

When I told the same thing in a programme at Ranchi recently, the next day the church-inspired organisations opposed it. They did dub the R.S.S. as communal but also indicted the Central Government that it was out to curb their rights. Be it so. Our national mainstream of Bharat has been flowing since the hoary past in which so many streams and rivulets had been mingling acquiring holiness the same way the waters flowing into the Ganga are purified. Keeping intact the purity of our national stream we have to gather strength to purify the whole world.

So many scholars of our country are today engaged in unravelling the true history of our country with the help of literary and archaeological proofs. The most important discovery is that of vanished river Sarswati. The NASA pictures first of all gave evidenee of the underground Saraswati flowing from Shivalik ranges in the Himalayas to Gulf of Cambay in Gujarat. One of our senior leaders’ late shri Moropant Pingle made a month-long journey from Shivalik to Cambay accompanied by Dr. V.S.Vakankar and many historians, geologists and literary people.

The earthenware pots, samples of under ground waters and the folk-tales gathered in this journey enabled the scholars that the mighty river Saraswati, described as ‘ambitame naditame’ (the great mother, the great river), used to flow in so many streams through today’s western Rajsthan and eastern Pakistan and joined the Gulf of the Cambay where the sea ports of the Lothal and Dholavira were flourishing. Hundreds of the reamanants of towns like Harppa and Mohonjodaro were found on the banks of the Saraswati. Till now the Harappan civilization was considered to be pre-Aryan immigration. It was during the time of the Mahabharat that the Saraswati began to vanish because of tectonic upheawal in the glacier feeding the river. Because of that the stream of the Saraswati got mingled in the Yamuna. It is because of this that at the confluence of the three rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati, Saraswati is said to invisible. Today the spot in Hariyana from where the Saraswati originates, has been discovered and efforts are on the receive the river. Today it has been made to flow upto Jagadhari in Hariyana. This discovery of Saraswati together with other evidences has led to the fixing of the date of Mahabharat war 5145 years from now. The war took place 36 years before the beginning of Kali Era which has been fixed at 5109 years from now, i.e. 3102 B.C. That also is the year of departure of Bhagwan Shrikrishna for his heavenly abode. It is very sad to say that Dr. Swarajya Prakash Gupta, who played a very important role in this matter, is no more with us today. But he laid a firm foundation stone for rewritting Bharatiya history.

Our scientist has proved our eminence in different fields of science. Of them the most important is Rishi-farming or Natuecho farming. It is based on the postulation that nobody tills land or provides manures and pesticides in the forests still the forests grow and flourish and provide sustainance to all the living creatures along with human beings. Dr, Dabholkar of the Kolhapur based his experiments on this principle and attained success. Today he is no more but inspired by him Deepak Suchade has proved in a place called Bajawada near Nemawar and Harda in Madhya Pradesh, that in circle of 10 m. diameter a family of 5 persons not only can enjoy full nutritious meals but can also earn Rs. 10000 per year.

The circular plot is divided into three parts.

First part is of two meter diameter from the centre of the radious of the circle; we can plant 1) Papaya-4, 2) Banana-4, 3) Corn-16, 4) Pinepal-8, 5) Sweat Potato, 6) Landi Paper.

Second circle, with seven equal partition will be planted with cropes which consumed daily as well as produce also come in repetition by four to seven days. Like Dhania, Methi, Palak, Cucumber, Phudina, Kadi patta, Tulas, Gavti Cha,Tomoto, Brinjals, Chilli etc.

Outer circle will be planted with the crop which comes once and to be harvested or which takes long time to yield, like Sugarcane, Red bit, All herbal plants required to maintain the health of the family, about fifteen of such, Dudhi, Turiya, Galaka, Carrot, Chavali, Tur, Ground nut, etc.

The aim is that the family will have all necessary nutrition and children can enjoy raw diet in the absence of mother while she goes for work in the field.

Scientist Shri Satishchadra of Bangalore has discovered after a deep study of the Vedas that the Vedic suktas are nothing but descriptions of technologies. He has been able, on that very basis, to tap electricity direct from space. Shri Ravi Prakash Khemka of Chennai has manufactured powerhouses by amalgamating solar energy with cell technology. Power house of 500 watts costs Rs. 1 lakh and of 1 kilowatt 2 lakhs. No need to erect electric poles and draw electric wires. Just fix a panel on the roof top and become care free for the next 10 to 12 years. These are all positive developments. The only need is that we have to discover our own capabilities. Let us stop looking towards others.

Let us discover our own capabilities and

have a firm determination. Lions do not

go to eat others’ prey. We have

creative power in one hand and destructive

in the other. All glow in the light of

glory whereas we glow in

darkness. Let there be dreams

of glorious future in our eyes and speed

of storms in our feet.

We challenge all to

stop this rising tide of national upsurge.
